Riot Games is an American video game developer founded in 2006 by Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill.[1]
History
The founders of Riot Games were originally roommates at the University of Southern California, studying business. In 2006, they would seek funds from family and others to launch Riot Games. One of their most popular games, League of Legends, was released on October 27, 2009. The developers of the games would participate in surveys and forums to listen to player feedback. By 2013, the game would be most played multiplayer PC game in the world.
In 2011, Tencent announced an investment of over $400 million for a 93% stake in Riot Games, buying the remaining 7% percent in 2015.
As well as developing games, Riot Games holds esports leagues worldwide, including the League of Legends Championship Series.
Channel
The channel was created on August 30, 2013, and the first video was uploaded on January 28, 2015. The channel uploads videos about their developers working on projects or showing off their projects. They would also upload trailers for their games.
