NewJeans (뉴진스 / Nyujinseu) is a South Korean girl group formed by ADOR (a subsidiary of HYBE LABLES). They debuted on July 22,2022 with Attention and on August 1st with their first EP. Since then, they have released ten single albums and 5 promotional singles digitally and physically. They have also broke multiple records such as the Guinness world record for fastest KPOP act to reach 1 Billion streams within 219 days after their debut. ^[1]

The name NewJeans is noted as a word play for the phrase “new genes”. The groups name is a representation of a pair of jeans that you can never grow tired of.^{[2] [3]}

They are known for their songs such as Attention, Hype Boy, Ditto, OMG, Super Shy, ETA, Bubble Gum, and How sweet. They have also collaborated with numerous brands and video games such as The Powerpuff Girls, Pinkfong, Coca Cola, McDonald’s Korea, Leauge of Legends, Apple, Essence, Battlegrounds, and many more.^{[4] [5][6] [7] [8] [9] [10]}

NewJeans has also won awards from multiple music shows in their home country due to their rise of fame with popular and catchy song releases over the past two years.
