Fox News

The Fox News Channel (commonly shortened to Fox News or FNC) is an American multinational conservative YouTube channel and a cable news channel owned by FOX based in New York City. The news channel started on October 7, 1996 and was led by Rupert Murdoch and former executive of CNBC Roger Ailes. During the September 11 attacks, they were the first news channel to run a news ticker on the bottom.

On April 26, 2021, Fox News Channel removed the ticker from its on-air graphics.

History

The channel was created on September 18, 2006, and uploaded their first video on September 22, 2011. The channel stopped uploading until May 8, 2013, and made their first viral video on the same day.

Controversies

Fox News has repeatedly engaged in false and biased reporting in favor of the Republican Party, its conservative allies and officials, among others whilst downplaying the Democratic Party in a negative light. As a result, Fox News has been repeatedly criticized for acting on behalf of President Donald Trump and his agenda. [1] [2] In addition, the network has promoted false conspiracy theories to promote Republican and conservative causes. [3]
