Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. (born: October 10, 1997 (1997-10-10) [age 27]), better known professionally as DDG (also known as PontiacMadeDDG), is an American rapper and YouTuber. He is known for his vlogs on "PontiacMadeDDG VLOGS", reactions, appearances with other people, and his music.

Life

Granberry was born on October 10, 1997, in Pontiac, Michigan. During his high school years, he was using his channel for videos, where he was gaining popularity. He enrolled at Central Michigan University, where he later dropped out for what he says was making $30,000 per month being a YouTuber. He later moved to Hollywood, California to be a full-time entertainer.

Career

Granberry was interested in music at a young age. He made music as a child in his father's studio. He made early music, including a diss track toward Lil Yachty, called "Big Boat". He, along with Famous Dex, released "Lettuce" in 2017, which went viral. In 2018, he released his debut EP Take Me Serious, and he released his second EP Sorry 4 the Hold Up in 2019, as well as his debut studio album Valedictorian.

In 2020, he released his single "Moonwalking in Calabasas", later receiving two remixes, the first featuring Blueface and the second featuring YG. It became Granberry's first song to enter the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 82.

In 2022, he released his second studio album Its Not Me Its You.
