Henrique Marangon (born: July 24, 1989 (1989-07-24) [age 35]), also known as Core, is a Brazilian YouTuber and content producer famous for playing indie horror games such as Five Nights At Freddy's, Bendy And The Ink Machine, Poppy Playtime, among others.

History

Having his channel created on June 16, 2013, with the name Core Das Antigas, Core talked about old games/old consoles, such as Super Mario Bros, Sonic, among others. Core also analyzed RPG games, such as Chrono Trigger. His first video was a, now deleted, Resident Evil Nemesis gameplay, released on the same day his channel was created. However, because of the low number of views that his older videos received, Core started talking about indie games, especially horror, such as Five Nights At Freddy's, Undertale, Bendy And The Ink Machine, among others. His most viewed video "The Complete History Of Five Nights At Freddy's" with over 10 million views, was released on June 26, 2021.

Over the years, Core also participated in videos from various channels, such as Colônia Contra-Ataca!, MrGuinas, Souzones, Gabs, and others. His most notable appearance was on Colônia Contra-Ataca! when he, along with Senhor Wilson, analyzed Undertale.[1]

Content

Core makes videos playing various games, mainly indie horror games, either alone, or with his friends, such as MrGuinas, Souzones, and Gabs. In addition, he makes videos telling the story of the games he has played. Sometimes he makes videos reacting to videos and commenting on various subjects, like dramas with indie games and also his personal problems.

Controversies

Poppy Playtime Controversy

After the release of Poppy Playtime, Core financially supported Mob Entertainment, the studio behind the game. Due to many controversies with Mob Entertainment, fans started complaining to Core about his support of the game. He then made two videos talking about all of the controversies, while also putting his point of view.[2][3]

HBO Max controversy

In a documentary about the Realengo's massacre in Rio de Janeiro, Core was associated as a child groomer.[4]
