The Boracle (Japanese: ノストラダマス Nostradamasu) is a Rank S Ice-attribute Mystery Legendary Yo-kai of the Slippery tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

The Boracle is a purple skinned yo-kai with his upper body being covered in gold armor, and his lower body being wrapped in tapestry, possibly being prophecies. He has purple eyes outlined in black and a long gray beard. He wears a black cape and tricorne, and an abstract solar system floating above his head. He wears white frilled cuffs around his wrists, and carries a book with a quill that has an eye underneath the feather.

Etymology

Nostradamas is derived from "Nostradamus" and "damasu" (Japanese: 騙す to deceive).

"Rolláculo" is a portmanteau of rollo (which can mean both "roll" and "bummer") and oráculo (oracle).

Origin

The Boracle is based on the French physician and seer from the 16th century, Nostradamus. He was famed for his prophecies as many believed he predicted many major events.
