Starwin (Japanese: ダーウィン Dāwin) is a Rank S, Restoration-attribute Legendary Pioneer Yo-kai of the Heartful tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, he is a Rank SS Yo-kai.

Biology

An elderly humanoid Yo-kai, Starwin has white bushy eyebrows, hair, and a long white beard. He wears a navy blue suit coat, pants of the same color, and brown shoes, and he is seen riding a Galápagos tortoise on a single tidal blue cloud.

Also, if you can see closely, there's a mockingbird on top of Starwin and as well as a golden star-shaped badge on his forehead.

Yo-kai Watch 3

  1. Go to Southmond Elementary School and enter the East Building. Examine the purple book about Starwin, located in the top-left room of the library on the left-hand section of the bookshelf.
  2. Read the book once a day for five real-world days in a row.
    Note: Only one chapter can be read a day, including chapters from other purple books.
  3. After the fifth day, Starwin will now appear in the back of Remote Relic and can be challenged daily.

Yo-kai Watch Busters 2

Instead of using a biography to befriend him, you will need to befriend Captain Dodo, Vascoda Gama and Maizo Tokugawa to complete the "Global Treasure Hunters" Yo-kai Circle.

Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble

Starwin requires using the Darwin Biography, which is a very rare item obtainable in the limited Crank-a-kai from September 1st, 2017 to September 17th, 2017, and in the 10 Renki-nen Coin Manga 5.

Using the item transports you to a special area where you can battle Starwin but doing so will consume the Biography, meaning if the player fails to befriend him while battling him, they will need to pull another Biography from the Crank-a-kai.

Yo-kai Watch World

Starwin appeared in a limited event that went on November 5th, 2019 to November 18th, 2019. In order to befriend Starwin, Shushoku no Dobyoshi, Horizontail, Snippity Cricket, Nekidspeed, Cereal Spiller, and Cricky had to be befriended.

Etymology

Origin

He is based on the eponymous Charles Darwin, an English naturalist who first contributed to Darwinism, a theory that revolves around biological evolution.

Starwin is a combination of the words Darwin and star, referencing the star he has on his forehead.

  • Starwin is the only Legendary Pioneer to have Legs, As T Energison's lower half is a phonograph and Colombakat's lower half is a boat.
