Oranyan (Japanese: ミカンニャン Mikannyan) is a Rank B, Lightning-attribute, Rare Yo-kai of the Charming tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.

In Yo-kai Watch: Ukiukipedia Kiwami and Yo-kai Watch: Ukiukipedia Gakuen Y, he is classified as the Uwanosora tribe.

Oranyan is a shiny orange cat with big black eyes and a light green nose. It's paw tips are solid orange, while it's muzzle and inner-ears are rich orange with pale cream lining. Its chest is colored to look like an orange wedge with a green sphere attached to its collar. On its head is a small green cap with a single leaf attached to it, matching the haramaki around its stomach. The flames on its tails are green.

Oranyan can be found and befriended in the Harrisville school after scanning the QR code for the Orange Seed item.

Yo-kai Watch 3

Oranyan can be freed from the Crank-a-kai with a Sushi Coin, or alternatively if you have both versions linked you can befriend him in Ambrosia Pavillion.

Yo-kai Watch Blasters

Oranyan is exclusive to Red Cat Corps. He can rarely be befriended as a reward for beating Tattleterror in Boss Rush. Alternatively, he can be found on Patrol Missions on VIP patrol.

He is required for the Fruit Basket Yo-kai Circle.

Yo-kai Watch Busters 2

Oranyan is exclusive to Magnum.

Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble

Oranyan was put into the Crank-a-kai in multiple events involving him and the other Fruitnyans.

Oranyan made a cameo appearance in EP105.

Oranyan made its debut in EP108.

Oranyan later appeared in EP161, where he, alongside many other cat Yo-kai, were summoned all together when Misterr Typoo's power changed the Robonyan F's Dream Medal's name to 'Nyan'. He and most of the other cat Yo-kai beat up Nate and Whisper when Misterr Typoo. states that he called them there for nothing.

Etymology

A 'mikan' is a type of Japanese clementine. 'Nyan' is the sound a cat makes.

"Oranyan" is a portmanteau of "Orange," and "nyan."

"Naranyan" and "Aranyan" are a combination of orange in their respective languages (naranja for Spanish and arancia for Italian) and nyan.
