Josper (Japanese: ウィスババ Wisubaba) is a Rank A, Drain-attribute Rare 'Merican Yo-kai of the Slippery tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Josper is a variant of Whisper that wears a jester hat, which is split into three colors: a purple and white diamond pattern on the right, and black on the left.

He appears to carry a purple scythe with a split dark and medium gray blade with a purple gem.

Etymology

Josper is a portmanteau of Whisper and "Joker", as in the playing card.

Origin

Josper's design is based on the black Joker in French suits. The name "Whisbaba" refers to baba-nuki (ババ抜き), a Japanese variant of the card game "Old Maid" where instead of adding/removing a card to create an unmatchable one, one joker card is added.
