Gush (Japanese: たらりん Tararin) is a Rank D, Fire-attribute Rare Yo-kai of the Eerie tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch.

Looking like a living drop of blood, Gush is a blood-red version of Slush or Droplette, possessing the same saddened expression and melting body. True to his appearance, his ability in the games is to cause nosebleeds, which can be very dangerous.

In the anime, Gush has the ability to make things drip such as paint, drool, and noses. If frozen he can no longer make things drip.

In the manga, Gush has a fetish for nosebleeds.

Gush rarely appears in water spots in the Springdale Underground Waterway.

Gush rarely appears in water spots at the riverbank in Blossom Heights.

He can also be freed from the present Crank-a-kai with a Purple Coin, or from the Oni Crank-a-kai, as well as using the Mystery Way - End Point (Main Line) Crank-a-kai by using a Mystery Coin.

Yo-kai Watch 3

Gush rarely appears in the streams at the Secret Forest Base, he can also be found in Grumbler's Grotto.

He can also be found in Blasters T in the Statue of Clunubis ③, Burning and Blazing Labyrinths.

Gush is exclusive to Red Cat Corps. He can be found on Patrol Missions in Blossom Heights.

In the anime

Gush made its debut in Yo-kai Gush, in which it causes Nate's painting to mess up at the very last second. It later gave its Yo-kai medal to Nate, after Nate summoned Pupsicle and froze him solid after Whisper told him a very bad joke.

He made a small brief cameo in EP101.

In the manga

In the manga, Nate summoned Gush to stop Dracunyan from causing trouble.

Etymology

  • "Tararin" is a expression of something dripping.
  • "Gush" derives from gush.
  • "Gusstav" is a combination of Guss (molding, gush) and the male name Gustav.
  • "Coagulón" is a combination of "Coágulo" (Blood clot) and "Chaparrón" (downpour).
  • "Hémorhino" is a combination of hémorragie (bleeding) and rhino (latin of nose).
  • "Sanguinasio" is a combination of sanguinamento (bleeding) and naso (nose).
  • "鼻血靈" (Bíxiě líng) means Nosebleed Spirit.
  • "Sangria" means Bleeding.

Trivia

  • In spite of having a different ability in the anime, Gush's medal still depicts it as though it were having a nosebleed.
  • Gush is the only Droplette recolour in the main games without an evolution.
