Emenyan (Japanese: エメラルニャン Emeralnyan) is a Rank A, Restoration-attribute Rare Yo-kai of the Charming tribe.

According to his Yo-kai Keystone, he is classified as the Tsukumono tribe.

In Yo-kai Watch Busters 2, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Shogunyan. And in Yo-kai Watch World, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura.

Biology

Emenyan is a pure emerald cat Yo-kai with big black eyes. It's muzzle and paw tips are solid white, while it's inner-ear and nose are gold. Around its belly is a pure gold band to match it's collar, which has a blue sphere hanging from it. The flames of it's tails are bright yellow.

Scan Emenyan's Yo-kai Medal QR code at Piggleston Bank to obtain an Emerald Coin. Using it in the Crank-a-kai will give out the Emerald Bell, which makes Emenyan appear.

Emenyan is located at the Abandoned House in Mt. Wildwood, where he can be battled once a day until he's befriended through the regular method.

In Yo-kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch and Yo-kai Watch 1 Smartphone, a Bandai Emenyan Yo-kai Keystone is required instead.

Yo-kai Watch 2

After linking all 3 versions of the game together, he can be freed along with Emenyan, and Dianyan from the Crank-a-Kai in the Gold-Gleaming Highway, which appears after linking all 3 versions of the game together.

Emenyan is obtained through the Crank-a-kai with either a Tempura Coin or a Special Coin. He can also appear in the Ambrosia Pavillion.

Emenyan, along with the other Jewelnyans including Rubinyan, Sapphinyan, Topanyan first appear in EP161, where Nate has trouble trying to summon Jibanyan after Yo-kai Misterr Typoo erases the name on the Yo-kai Medals shortened to "Nyan". He eventually summons all of the cat Yo-kai that Nate had befriended, but they all turn their backs onto Nate.

Etymology

  • His name is a portmanteau of "Emerald" and "nyan", the onomatopeia for the sound a cat makes.

  • Emenyan is the only Jewelnyan who does not have a elemental attribute. He instead heals adjacent Yo-kai.
  • Emenyan is one of the Gemnyans that is befriendable in Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble after reaching the Gold 1 rank on a Level-5 ID account linked to the game. Sapphinyan is also befriendable when reaching Silver 1 rank on a Level-5 ID account.
  • Emenyan's "random" nicknames are: May, Emerson, Green and Emeral.
