Yo-kai Scritchy (Japanese: 妖怪かゆかゆ,Yōkai Kayukayu), Fidgephant Panic! (Japanese: モレゾウパニック!,Morezoupanikku!) and Jibanyan's Summer Break (Japanese: ジバニャンの夏休み,Jibanyan no natsuyasumi) is the 84th episode of the Yo-kai Watch anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on August 28, 2015, while the C-Part aired on July 30, 2018 in the United States.
One night, Nate is sick of mosquito bites and finds Yo-kai Scritchy causing them. At a pool, Yo-kai Fidgephant Nate suddenly develops the urge to go to the toilet. Whilst training at the intersection, Jibanyan finds a lost cat who tries to guide them back to it's home.
The script cover for the episode originally had the second segment titled as Fidgephant Has Come to The Pool! (Japanese: モレゾウがプールにやってきた!,Morezou ga pūru ni yattekita!), as a placeholder. The third segment was also a temporary title before it was finalized in the end.
This is the first episode to show a Yo-kai de-evolving.
Coincidentally, the same Yo-kai shown to have evolved onscreen in the anime is also the same to de-evolve. That being Enduriphant.
The plot of Yo-kai Scritchy bears heavy resemblance to the 1984 film The Terminator.
This episode's alternative dub aired in South Africa on May 5, 2019, listed under the title "Yo-kai[sic] Scritchy" representing the first segment. Unlike its American counterpart, the episode was dubbed in full.
This is the 4th absence of Hailey and Usapyon ever since their introduction.
Jibanyan getting summoned in the middle of having a memorable moment is a reference to Yo-kai Snottle, but this time, Jibanyan uses Paws Of Fury on both Nate and Snottle.
Dub Differences
The name of the cat Jibanyan tries to reunite with their former owner goes unnamed in the English dub, and is simply referred to as "kitty".
Errors
When Jibanyan was executing his Paws of Fury attack, Minya was not visible on his back. Though this might be because it was a reused animation of it.
After Jibanyan lands at Banter Bakery in the sunset, the overhead shot of the place has the signage missing in the English dub.
Nate calls Scritchy a "He" rather than "She" in the sub.
