Nate has a blank face so Whisper hits him with a fan to try and snap him out of it. However, it is revealed that Whisper was only thinking it but Nate still snapped out of his daze anyway. Nate tells Whisper he's been spacing out all morning and Whisper states he must have been inspirited by a Yo-kai. Nate searches with his watch and finds Daiz and is surprised how plain he is. Whisper explains that Daiz causes people to space out and Nate notices Daiz isn't listening because he's spacing out already. Nate realises if Daiz won't talk he won't be able to befriend him so he runs away.
Nate thinks he's lost Daiz but turns around to see Daiz was able to keep up with them. Nate decides to summon Jibanyan but accidentally sends Jibanyan into a tree. Jibanyan is quickly affected by Daiz and begins to space out. Jibanyan snaps out of it and grabs Daiz's tail, slamming him against a wall. Daiz is okay and begins to talk. He tells Nate that people would ignore him because he spaced out too much and he spaced out more because he was alone but Jibanyan's influence snapped him out of it. He further explains that he'd heard of Nate before which was why he was following him. Nate happily becomes friends with Daiz and he gives him his medal. Daiz is overjoyed and states that he'll be so busy he won't have time to space out anymore.
