Yamagata

Yamagata (山形) is a character featured in Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami 2. He is the manager of the Odyssey.

Involvement

Yakuza 0: 1988

Yamagata learns Goro Majima is in Odyssey, and suspects he wants to poach one of his employees. His suspicion is correct, as Majima wants the Odyssey's top hostess, Nozomi, and Majima negotiates with Yamagata to give Odyssey benefits as well. He accepts Majima's offer.

Yamagata lets Majima hide Makoto Makimura in one of Odyssey's warehouses. Due to cabarets falling in demand, including his own establishment, he enlists Majima's help by introducing him to the smaller cabaret clubs in Sotenbori, starting with Club Sunshine.

Yakuza Kiwami 2: 2006

Yamagata visits Four Shine to experience what they have to offer, but his poor experience makes him think the establishment has at most one year before it closes down. He reunites with Majima outside the club, and directs him to Hogushi Kaikan for information on the man he is looking for, Ryota Kawamura.
