Pares (パレス Paresu) is a bar in Kamurocho's Champion District, featured in Yakuza/Yakuza Kiwami.
History
After Yumi Sawamura (under the name Mizuki Sawamura) opened Ares in the Millennium Tower, the owner of Pares opened a bootleg bar to trick people into thinking it was the real bar, due to Ares' location not being well known.

The bar was raided by the Nishikiyama Family looking for Mizuki Sawamura, but they found the fake Mizuki instead, and were tricked by her flower tattoo which looked the same as the real one. She was taken away by them and never seen again.
A few days later, Kazuma Kiryu goes to the bar, after being told by the Florist of Sai that the Mizuki who was found at Tokyo Bay worked there as its mama and manager. Once inside, he is told by the waiter that Mizuki wasn't feeling well that day and had to call in sick. He is pared with another hostess, Aris, who tells Kiryu about the kidnapping. Aris doesn't agree at all with the way the owner conducts the business, and tells Kiryu she's going to quit after this shift. This calls the attention of the owner, who is lectured by Kiryu on how "pretending you're someone you're not is no way to live". This infuriates the owner, who thinks Kiryu is somehow related to Mizuki's kidnapping.
After a brawl, Kiryu comes out with the truth to the owner. The fake Mizuki was killed by the yakuza, who thought she was the real Mizuki due to the identical tattoos they had. Kiryu goes away, as the owner sobs at the death of his employee.

Pares was closed down and replaced by Earth Angel.

Trivia
- In the original Yakuza, the player can meet the fake Mizuki prior to Chapter 7. Afterwards, she is replaced by Aris.
- Strangely, the sign on the walls of Pares in Yakuza Kiwami are the same as Earth Angel's.
