Honoka (ほのか) is a character featured in Yakuza 5. She is a hostess at Club Prime in Sotenbori, and can be requested by Shun Akiyama.
Background
A through-and-through Osakan college student in her third year. Her measurements are 78, 56, 82 (29"-23"-32" to the nearest inch)[4]. She is naturally skinny, so it is difficult for her to bulk up, this is why she craves fatty foods and meat, even when the club doesn't have pork skewers. She doesn't like fish because she isn't good at using chopsticks
Personality
As a 90's kid: She is energic and a go-getter, but she gets upset when they tell her as such, as she isn't as egregious like older women like Etsuko, as she is more cute and ladylike.[5] That said: She also has mastered the art of haggling and bartering. She is a bit unhappy with her speaking voice while she likes Akiyama's voice because she wants to become a newscaster, inferring that her voice isn't deep enough and her Kansai accent is too thick. However: She is really good at tongue twisters. She likes watching stand-up comedy, but isn't as fond of being a comedienne herself. She is extremely insistent on being compatible with others.
She isn't fond of crossing rivers, preferring a more landlocked and accessible city. She is, however, fond of the street signs.
She doesn't drink hard liquor much, ash she can't hold her liquor well.

Substory
After reaching A-grade affection, Honoka tries to call Akiyama for a date. However: She sounds really crackly. While Akiyama thought it was poor signal. Honoka later texted and confirmed that she has in fact lost her voice due to vocal overuse. He goes to Daikoku Drugs for advice, and is lead to Ashitaba Park for a "Legendary Lozenge" so she can make it to her interview. He got an advice that he doesn't really need the lozenge, so he returns to the man and ask to pay all the money he has to sell to the lozenge.
He manages to convince the guy to sell him the lozenge. Afterwards, he meets her outside Hotel Travis to give her the lozenge. She kiss him, then recovers in time to make the interview.
After the substory, she revels that the interview didn't go well, but she would still try and get into a broadcasting school in Tokyo.
Trivia
- She is the first hostess (even across subsequent games, including Judgment and Lost Judgment) to look for her guest in a date.
- Her favorite song in Ring, same as Riku.
