Bowling

Bowling is a minigame in the Yakuza Series.

Gameplay

General play of the game is to knock over all pins on a lane with a bowling ball. The player will achieve a Spare if they knock over one or more pins on the first throw and then knock down the remaining ones on the second throw. The player will achieve a Strike if they successfully knock over all pins on the first throw, and a Turkey if the player gets a Strike three times in a row.

A Spare will grant 10 points, and additional points based on the number of pins knocked down on the next throw. A Strike will grant 10 points, and additional points based on the score of the player's next two throws. The highest score achievable in one frame is 30 points, only possible by scoring at least three Strikes in a row. In the case of a Turkey, the first frame will have 30 points while the second and third frames' scores depends on the points scored in subsequent frames.

Yakuza 3

Starting with Yakuza 3, it is possible to play turn-based two-player mode from the main menu.
