Jara (ジアラ Jiara?) is an enemy first appearing in Xevious, These spinning ships fly in a pattern similar to the Toroid. Because of their speed, they are very dangerous to attempt to intercept. These ships will fire shots at you. At certain times, they sometimes can team up as allies with the Torkans. Depending on whether you haven't passed a certain level, much like the Toroids, they do not shoot at you but later gain their ability to do so. They also can be seen team up as allies with the shooting stars, on Areas 13 and 16. In Super Xevious, they can be seen as allies with the Zakatos on Area 12 or through out the game if the game is set on "hardest mode." Which means they also can be seen either with the Terrazi, Zoshi or Kapi in that mode. They can be destroyed by the player with your zapper.
