The Qlurians or Qlu (Japanese: クリュー, Kuryū; English dub: /ˈkljʊəriən/ for Qlurian, /ˈkljuː/ for Qlu) are a race of beings in Xenoblade Chronicles X. They are a alien race with a very advanced technology. Celica, first met in Noctilum during Manhunt, is a Qlurian who becomes a member of the BLADE. Neilnail is a Qlurian who is known as the High Custodian.
Qlurian technology borrows heavily from the ancient Samaarians. This led to the Qlurian worshipping them, and after a few thousand years, the Qlurian reached unparalleled levels of prosperity. Qlurian ancestors sought to spread their faith across the galaxy, preaching to other races and sharing their technology. They even reached Mira, having influenced the ancient civilization that lived in Cauldros long ago with their influence being especially strong in and around O'rrh Sim Castle Ruins.
Qlurians are clones grown in artificial womb plants on their home world. Clones are born after the death of the previous incarnation. Unlike Orpheans, Qlurians do not share the memories of their predecessor but share the same role and duties. They view their predecessors akin to a family lineage. However, the original from which the entire lines comes from is not important, only the role that the line serves.
Physiology
Qlurians are humanoids that resemble elves with lagomorph-like ears.

"Hailing from the Qlu system, the Qlurians—or Qlu—are a highly scientifically advanced civilization and devout worshippers of ancient Samaar. Nowadays, they are a sequestered society, and are rarely found to interact with other star systems. The Qlu are grown in artificial womb plants and birthed in a very impersonal manner."
