Monopon is a Challenge Battle Boss in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. She is a Nopon enemy fought at level 99 during the thirteenth wave of the Challenge Battle This Year's Heropon. She is the final Nopon of this challenge to confront. This enemy drops no items.
Etymology
Monopon is probably a portmanteau word, coined by blending Monolith (Software) and Nopon since Monopon often serves as the mascot of Monolith Soft. She is a character that was originally created to serve as the face of the official Japanese account of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, introduced as being the only Nopon employee of Monolith Soft. She also introduces herself as such in-game before she is fought.
Trivia
- In the English version, she's voiced by Arina Ii, who also voices Poppi. In the Japanese version, she is voiced by Yuki Nagaku, who also voices Mikhail in Torna ~ The Golden Country.
