Jax is an NPC in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. He is a Phonex who can be found at the Aegishammer in Temperantia, and has a significant role in the Blade Quest A Phonex Tale.
Story
During the Blade Quest A Phonex Tale, Nim goes to Temperantia in search for a missing Phonex named Pex. She tries asking the Phonexes living in Aegishammer if they knew anything. Jax was at first unwilling to talk to Nim and even acted hostile towards her, but she eventually gained his trust with an offering of 10 Trippy Catfish. Jax informs Nim that Pex came to Temperantia in search of potential Phonex soldiers and had been travelling to Phonex villages across Alrest to recruit young Phonexes. However, he and his army ended up getting captured by a Vacillus Antol and taken to the Ruined Chapel of Danafas. Jax and the rest of the village pronounced them dead after that, but Nim insisted on going anyway to rescue them.
