Morley was a fictional brand of cigarette smoked by, among other various characters, the "Cigarette Smoking Man", Diana Fowley and Monica Reyes. (The X-Files)
Morley tested a new strain of tobacco found to be infested with a mutant form of tobacco beetles. (Season 7, Episode Brand X) The reason for the new genetically modified tobacco crops was supposedly to make them less harmful than ordinary tobacco. However, a side-effect to this modification caused a horrid death for all but one of the four guinea pigs. A few innocents and Doctors involved in the research also met the same fate.
- Morley cigarettes are used in various films, other fictional television series and even video games. The fictional brand resembles that of Marlboro cigarettes in real life.
