Dark Man was a government agent.
He chased Max Fenig to retrieve a device he was carrying, which was stolen from a government contractor. He then boarded Flight 549 along with Fenig, in order to retrieve the package from him, mid-flight. However, his plans were halted as the plane was intercepted by a UFO, causing it to shake. This man witnessed Fenig's abduction, and was then sucked down the aisle of the plane (TXF: "Tempus Fugit", "Max").
