The Spark of Light is located at the Sanctuary of Light in Netherlight Temple. It was recovered from Hyrja in the Halls of Valor by a priest adventurer, at the urging of Alonsus Faol who believed that it was necessary for the Light to "walk among us".
However, it needs infusions of Light from places that are considered especially holy on Azeroth before it can fulfill its potential. It is referred to as a wisp.[1]
