The Hidden Circle[1] is an Alliance rogue organization based in the Forlorn Cavern of Ironforge. The guild[2] is currently led by Hulfdan Blackbeard, and was once investigated by agents of King Magni Bronzebeard who arrested several of its members.[3] During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Hulfdan Blackbeard and a few members of the organization joined the ranks of the Uncrowned.
Their members are in charge of training the apprentice thieves in Ironforge. When asked for their location, the Ironforge Guards stated that they often had trouble with Hulfdan.
History
World of Warcraft
When the rogue adventurer met Hogral Bakkan in the Thunderbrew Distillery's basement, the dwarf offered them a "purpose" in life and sent them to meet Hulfdan Blackbeard in the Forlorn Cavern, so that the leader of the Hidden Circle could put them on the "road to salvation".[2] When the guild discovered that King Magni Bronzebeard had exhausted the quarries by extracting all their iron ore and gems, amassing more wealth than a dwarf could amass in ten lifetimes, the thieves decided to come up with a plan to steal some of his treasure. Their agent Onin MacHammar was therefore sent to spy on the mining activities across Dun Morogh, while the newly recruited adventurer was ordered to get his situation report in time.[1] With the help of his contacts in the east, the agent reported the precise path taken by the armored steam tanks that transported the mineral resources from Gnomeregan to Ironforge. Satisfied with the progress of their plans, Hulfdan rewarded the new recruit with a dagger, before telling them that the organization would contact them later for phase III of the operation.[4]
After being stolen, Lord Jorach Ravenholdt of the Assassin's League requested a promising rogue adventurer through his contact with Hulfdan, in order to retrieve his 
[Sealed Azure Bag].[5]
At some point, Hulfdan searched everywhere for the rogue adventurer, fearing that they also have been put in irons by the soldiers of King Magni Bronzebeard.[6] After Hogral Bakkan redirected them to Ironforge, Hulfan explained that they were discussing phase III of their heist when the guards arrived and arrested some members of the organization, with the motive of stopping their plans. As the adventurer's name came up during the interrogations, Hulfdan ordered them to leave the city and visit Renzik "The Shiv", his SI:7 contact in Stormwind City.[3]
Legion
At the time of the third invasion of the Burning Legion, a few members of the Hidden Circle joined the ranks of the Uncrowned in their war against the demons. They could be seen in the Hall of Shadows, and later at Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore, alongside their allies of the Armies of Legionfall.
During the Legion Invasions, Hogral Bakkan defended the town from the demonic invaders with the help of the adventurers.
Shadowlands
After she took an interest in a promising rogue adventurer's progress and service to the Alliance, the SI:7 high ranking member Veruca Darkstream contacted the Hidden Circle so that Hulfdan Blackbeard would convey the invitation to meet her at the Training Hall of Stormwind City.[7][8]
