Blighthounds are mastiffs found in Marris Stead in Eastern Plaguelands. They were the pets of Nathanos Blightcaller, who used them to slaughter Scourge.^[1] Nathanos fed them with Coagulated Rot.^[2]

Abilities

•  Disease Cloud — A cloud of disease surrounds the caster, dealing Nature damage to any enemies within range.
•  Rend — Inflicts Physical damage to an enemy every 3 sec. for 15 sec.

Notes

• Blighthounds originally used hyena models but were updated to mastiffs in Cataclysm. Curiously, they've kept their hyena sounds, despite their model change.
  • Despite this, the Blighthounds in Stormheim use hyena models.
