Tate the Snake is one of the main protagonists in Wonder Pets: In the City!. He is the ITC counterpart of Tuck.
Description
Tate is a very sensitive young snake. He is the heart of the group, and he has a deep emotional connection to all living things. Similar to Tuck, Tate is empathetic, often wanting to give the rescued animals a hug or keeping them company while Izzy and Zuri put their rescue plan into action. He is the least physically advanced of the Wonder Pets due to him not having arms or legs. He is, however, can stretch his body and demonstrates keen observational skills while out on their adventures.
Personality
Similar to Tuck, Tate is sweet and very sensitive and is shown to love hugs, but he can also be the voice of reason at times.
Looks
Tate is a Japanese Green Rat Snake with blue eyes, a winter hat on his head, and a red cape.

- Tate bears some resemblance to Turtle Tuck.
- Both are green, have blue eyes, and red capes.
- Both have big hearts. For example, in Save the Hedgehog, Tate says, "I'm gonna have a cute attack!"
- They are both cold-blooded reptiles.
- Tuck and Tate additionally love to receive as well as give hugs and snuggles to everyone.
- In fact, Tate owns a sailors hat that looks very similar to Tuck's, seen in Save the Salmon, and Save the Bighorn Sheep!.
- Tate is the only Wonder Pet, not counting Ollie the Bunny (who is an aspiring Wonder Pet), to be voiced by a male voice actor: Christopher Sean Cooper.
- Tate is so far, the only member of the Wonder Pets that is a predator.
- In his tank, Tate has a souvenir collection that he has collected "through the years" as well as the adventures he and his friends went on. One of them being a peacock feather from the episode, "Help the Peacock".
- It was first referenced in the episode "Save Tate?" which was a pivotal plot point in trying to retrieve one of his bracelets that Zuri hula-hooped out the window by mistake.
