Monkeys are a type of primate that live in the Japanese-inspired land, often affiliating themselves with "monkey gods", the sarugami.[1]
When the witcher/ ronin Geralt visited The Spring Bird, an inn on Mount Kaijinzan, he fought a group of monkeys and a sarugami who were initially just relaxing in the hot springs before attacking him.[1]
