Keldar

The more you know, the less you'll blunder like a buffoon.

Keldar, or as he was called by the students of the Griffin School, Old Keldar, was a witcher known for his expertise in monster knowledge and for tutoring young witchers in the subject. He had committed the entirety of Liber Tenebrarum to memory and was known for his short temper, especially when his students failed to provide correct answers. He would often mock them by suggesting they would foolishly attempt to hunt vampires armed with Lebioda figurines and garlic. Coën had a particular fondness for Keldar.[1]

Keldar survived the destruction of Kaer Seren, which was caused by an avalanche triggered by mages. He was the only survivor among those present at the fortress and continued to guard its ruins, loyal to the memory of his beloved school.[2]
