Fercart of Cidaris (d. July 1267) was a mage and advisor to King Foltest of Temeria, along with Triss Merigold and Keira Metz. He was also one of the youngest members of the Council of Wizards, the lower chamber within the Brotherhood of Sorcerers.[1]

Biography

First Northern War

In 1263, during the First Northern War, Fercart travelled to Lower Sodden and fought alongside the Brotherhood of Sorcerers in the famous Battle of Sodden Hill against the invading Nilfgaardian Army.[2]

Thanedd Coup

At the end of June 1267, Fercart travelled to Thanedd Island to partake in the Grand Mage's Conclave, and attended the evening banquet in Aretuza. The following morning, on July 1st, he was captured by the Northern supporters and taken to Garstang to face trial. After Tissaia de Vries destroyed the palace's magic blockade and freed Ferhart, Vilgefortz, Artaud Terranova and Francesca Findabair, a squadron of Scoia'tael led by Isengrim Faoiltiarna was let into the palace and a battle ensured, during which Fercart was killed.[1]
