The Dark Giants are magical creatures introduced in Season 8.

Overview

The dark giants are large monsters created by Valtor's dark magic.

Appearance

They are gigantic, faceless, dark violet giants with bright indigo details around their neck, arms and belly. On their head is a big eyeball-like body part that is capable of shooting beams. On their chest is a large Valtor's mark.

Series

Season 8

In "Surprise Party on Earth"' Valtor summons the Dark Giants to attack Gardenia Beach from the sea. They make their way through the waters towards the beach.

In "Valtor's Shadow", they continue their journey, destroying the off-shore oil rig. Nex and Brandon attempt to use Photon detonators on them, though they only flinch a little before proceeding to Gardenia Beach. Twinkly gives Sky one of the star core prototypes Orion developed, and uses it successfully against the closer Dark Giant, though the other one continues on its way. It reaches the beach and tries to grab Mike and Vanessa, though the Winx successfully rekindles the core, burning the giant.

Magical Abilities

They are resistant to many forms of physical attacks, being only destroyed by the power of star cores. They can shoot out destructive laser beams out of their eye.

Trivia

They are summoned from the sea. This may indicate that they are of aquatic origin.
