Russ Cook (July 13th, 1934 - May 16, 2020) was Murray's father. He passed away on May 16, 2020 after a battle with multiple myeloma. He was the husband of Jean, the grandfather of Georgia and Hamish, and the father-in-law of Meg. He served as a police officer, becoming an Assistant Commissioner before retiring.
