WarioWare D.I.Y. is the seventh game in the WarioWare series.
Story
WarioWare's employees leave the company to pursue other interests, with Mona, Jimmy T, Ashley, Orbulon, and 9-Volt joining a new studio, Diamond Software. One day in Diamond City, Dr. Crygor has a nightmare where the characters in a video game he plays fly out of the screen. When he wakes, inspiration strikes him and he invents the Super MakerMatic 21, a supercomputer witht he ability to easily make microgames, comic strips, and music.
Later, while he and Penny are mass-producing the Super MakerMatic 21, Wario arrives asking Crygor to fix a broken television set. He mistakes the Super MakerMatic 21 devices for a TV and offers to trade. When Dr. Crygor explains the Super MakerMatic 21's capabilities, Wario immediately sees this as a chance to become rich.
The player assumes the role of the new manager of the D.I.Y. Shop, a store in Diamond City that sells items produced by the Super MakerMatic 21. After play-testing a batch of new microgames made by Mona, Wario arrives and asks the player to help him complete unfinished artwork for a microgame. Once the microgame is completed, Wario and Penny instruct the player on how to create microgames, comics, and music. The player is then given a Super MakerMatic 21 of their own.
Gameplay
It only features 90 pre-made microgames, but you can design your own microgames from scratch. You can also upload them onto the internet so you can share your microgames with other people. There are 12 jobs you do for Wario, each of which involving making a game which can later be played and shipped, like other ones.
Creating the microgames
Microgames must first be drawn. First, the background is drawn. Next, the objects, or characters must be drawn. Music can also be added to the microgames. Then AI and Win Conditions must be added to the objects. Each microgame can be either 8 or 16 seconds long. Games can then be tested and finally shipped. Games can then be bought by fans and viewed on the Sales Charts. Once games are created, you can import and play them on WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase.
