Gamer

GamerTitle

Gamer is 9-Volt and 18-Volt's minigame in Game & Wario. It is a singe-player minigame that's played using the GamePad's buttons.

Gamer reappears in WarioWare Gold as a stage in Challenge Mode under the title Sneaky Gamer. The only differences are that the player is presented with WarioWare Gold's microgames and there are more things that can happen in the bedroom, but aside from the changes, the objective is still the same.

A stage based on the minigame appears in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Gameplay

The goal of the game is that the player needs to beat the boss stage in a modified version of Balloon Fight called Balloon Fighter. The objective is to play microgames on 9-Volt's console without 5-Volt spotting him doing so. If 5-Volt spots him, the game is over. If 5-Volt appears in the window, TV, or door, the player must pretend to be asleep, while hiding the console. Be aware that some characters that appear may look like 5-Volt (eg. a man walking by with a wig on his head, a cat) are not. Hiding while 5-Volt isn't looking will decrease the Wakey Meter, meaning the player must act carefully. If the bar is empty, the player loses as well.

An additional mode starring 18-Volt. In this version of the minigame, the player does not have to worry about 5-Volt and can simply focus playing the microgames on the console.

Trivia

  • In Gamer, a Virtual Boy is sitting next to the TV in 9-Volt's room. In Sneaky Gamer, it was replaced by a Wii U.
