now, formerly NOW EMPiRE and Nono (のの), is a former Japanese idol previously under WACK, as a member of ExWHYZ.

now originally joined WACK in March 2019, after passing the WACK AUDiTiON CAMP 2019 and subsequently joining EMPiRE. She remained in the group until their disbandment in June 2022, then immediately joined ExWHYZ afterwards. Prior to joining WACK, she was the leader of the underground idol unit, SakuranbomBom.

In addition to her main groups, now was also a member of SAiNT SEX, and previously, Dogenzaka43.

Biography

2013

Sometime in June, now joined the Yamagata local idol group, SakuranbomBom, as a founding member, and under the stage name, "Nono". As the oldest member, she was given the role of the group's leader.

SakuranbomBom's debut single, ♪SakuranbomBom, was released on October 5th.

2015-2016

On July 18th, 2015, Nono released a solo single to commemorate her 15th birthday, titled NO!!NO!!!

SakuranbomBom disbanded on April 30th, 2016, however, would occasionally reform for one-off performances afterward.

2019

From March 24th to 30th, Nono took part in the WACK AUDiTiON CAMP 2019, under the name "Terayama Yufu". At the concluding WACK EXHiBiTiON, it was announced that she would join EMPiRE.

On April 21st, Nono's first event with EMPiRE took place, where her official stage name was revealed as "NOW EMPiRE".

NOW's debut single with EMPiRE, SUCCESS STORY, was released on July 17th.

On August 4th, during WACK presents DREAMLIGHTS in TIF, NOW was placed in SAiNT SEX during their live performances.

NOW's debut album as part of EMPiRE, The GREAT JOURNEY ALBUM, was released on December 18th.

2020

In September, NOW EMPiRE modelled for the fashion brand, DIESEL. The following month, she also modelled for Atmos.

2021

On May 14th, NOW EMPiRE featured as a judge during a Project WACK-Chin Audition livestream. At the end of the stream, she was made to change her name to UNKO EMPiRE for one month. She changed it back to NOW on June 14th.

In mid-June, UNKO EMPiRE, along with every other active WACK member at the time, joined the shuffle unit, Dogenzaka43. Her only single as part of the group, Kyouniku Jakushoku ~Tsuyoi Yatsura wo Kucchimae~, was released on June 16th. At the end of June, her official Instagram was launched.

2022

On May 30th, EMPiRE suddenly announced that they would disband in three days. NOW's future with WACK was left uncertain, with details on each member's post-group activity to be determined at a later date.

Upon EMPiRE's disbandment on June 2nd, NOW EMPiRE joined a new unit, ExWHYZ, alongside the rest of the remaining members. The following midnight, she dropped the "EMPiRE" from her stage name, performing as simply "now" from then.

2024

On October 31st, 2024 it was announced that now was no longer a part of ExWHYZ and would leave WACK immediately.
