Biography

2017
From March 28th to April 2nd, Momoland took part in the WACK Audition Camp 2017 under the name "Hirano Nozomu".
On April 2nd, at the audition's concluding WACK EXHiBiTiON ceremony, it was announced that Momoland would be joining BiS alongside Pan Luna Leafy.
Momoland's first single as a member of BiS, SOCiALiSM, was released on May 31st.
2018
On March 18th, it was announced during WACK EXHiBiTiON that Momoland would be placed in BiS 1st when BiS would split into two groups.
On April 18th, one month after the BiS split was announced, BiS management released a statement that Momoland would not be performing at the show that same night. She texted them simply saying “I’m not going today”. She also did not attend a meeting with the other members and no one had been able to contact her. There were reports on Twitter that someone had seen her at the airport.
After two days of uncertainty, it was announced on April 20th that Momoland had withdrawn from BiS due to physical and mental exhaustion.
2020
On June 18th, Momoland briefly appeared on the news programme "news every." with her mother, making her first public appearance in over two years. In the report, she was seen working at her mother's medaka shop, and was credited as "Momoka-san".
2022
Momoland returned to social media in May under the name "Momoa" on both Twitter and Instagram. She later changed her name to Momo.
2023
In early 2023, Momo auditioned for a new unit, NARLOW, which also featured her ex-BiS groupmate and 2017 audition co-winner, Pan Luna Leafy. Auditioning under the name, "Momolan", she was chosen as one of the audition finalists, however, in May it was revealed she was ultimately not selected for the final line-up.
On June 2nd, Momoland was revealed as a founding member of a new idol unit, chuuum. Upon joining, she changed her stage name to "Amo".
Amo's debut release as a member of chuuum, and her first musical release in over 5 years, was chuuum's self-titled debut digital single, which was released on June 30th.
On August 4th, it was announced that Amo would be going on hiatus from all activities due to health issues.
Personal Life
Momo has one younger brother. During much of her time in BiS, her mother ran a twitter account where she would frequently tweet about her daughter. After leaving BiS, she worked at her mother's medaka (miniature rice fish) store.
