Tavo is a male Altean. When Haggar found the place of his colony, she used him and his people for her own good. When Allura talked with him, the entity Haggar used him to get rid of him. And then he decided to help the Voltron Coalition when they fought against Haggar for the last time. And he only hoped that through Romelle's actions, his people could compensate for the worst things.
Biography
Season 8
Tavo operated a mech during Honerva's attack on the Voltron Coalition. Tavo encounters the Atlas in his mech and engages it. He is ultimately captured and taken prisoner aboard the Atlas. While a prisoner, Allura and Romelle question him, attempting to get more info on Honerva's plans. Tavo refuses to divulge any information, viewing Allura as the enemy despite their shared Altean heritage and Romelle as a traitor.
After Hunk serves Tavo and the other Altean prisoners an Altean snack that he baked, Tavo agrees to share info about Honerva. However, he informs them that he is doing so at considerable risk to his life. Tavo explains that Honerva has an entity placed inside his brain so she is psychically linked to him. He knows Honerva can use the link to kill him. When Tavo begins to tell Allura about Honerva's plan, Honerva senses this and attempts to kill Tavo. Allura with the help of the Atlas medical staff is able to save Tavo, separating him from the entity and severing the link.
After Tavo recovers, he is released from prison and is allowed to roam the Atlas. He agrees to help the Coalition, later expressing regret over his actions before getting captured. He later accompanies Coran and Romelle to a Balmera to help them extract a large crystal from it.
