Waruido Spindo is the main antagonist of the 2024 Super Sentai series Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. He was the leader of the Great Space Invasion Running Team Hashiryan and intergalactic mafia leader, who wanted to expand his realm over all of the universe. He used to be friends with Bundorio, who was working for the Hashiriyans prior to the series, but after his defection from the organization Spindo became his sworn enemy. He has a pet monkey named Shaishai Sarucar.
Both Spindo and Sarucar are voiced by Kōji Yusa, who previously voiced Yeti Zee in Mahou Sentai Magiranger and Urataros in Kamen Rider Den-O.
Biography
Past
It's unknown what made Spindo form the Hashiriyans, but a while after doing so he takes notice of Bundorio Bunderas, a skilled engineer and racer at the Big Bang Grand Prix, and plots a scheme to enroll him and use his abilities for his own gain. Spindo sends an illegal modification part for Bundorio under the guise of a fan, and when the part breaks down, Bundorio is forced to quit from the BBG.
A lost Bundorio meets Spindo, who lies to him that the illegal modification part was sent by someone else that he took care of, and that he's his true fan. He asked Bundorio to join him and help expanding his new organization, Hashiriyan. While Bundorio worked for Spindo as his R&D specialist, he developed the system behind the Kurumaju.
After somehow learning that Spindo was using him and his creations for evil, Bundorio quit Hashiriyan and sold Spindo to the Galactic Police. But thanks to Spindo's influence he got off with a light punishment: He was imprisoned in a luxurious space prison and could still command his underlings from there. Feeling betrayed by Bundorio, Spindo sent the Hashiriyan Catching Captain to execute Bundorio, believing him to be dead when Bundorio actually survived the attempt on his life.
Boonboomger
After learning from information sent by Disrace that Bundorio is still alive, Waruido Spindo summons the Catching Captain to his prison and executes him for failing to execute Bundorio. He then asks his second-in-command, Grantu Risk, to send him the data on Earth that was collected by the Hashiriyan Captains, so he could go down there and settle things with Bundorio himself.
Spindo arrives on Earth and is greeted by Grantu Risk and the I.S.A.'s director of operations, Eiichiro Tokoyari, who wants to negotiate with him.
Personality
Waruido Spindo is an ecstatic and eccentric person, even for the leader of a crime family. He always gets excited when talking about Bundorio, and after arriving on Earth he picks an interest in its food. However, he's still cunning and ruthless, as he executes the Catching Captain for failing his orders.
Spindo also shows a sadistic pleasure in people's anguish, since it makes them emit Gyahsoline, which empowers him. As such, he always tries to make Bundorio's life sufferable so he could absorb Gyahsoline out of him.

- His design was based on the likeness of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. Additionally, his orange monkey companion is a reference to MJ's pet chimpanzee called Bubbles.
