Thrull is the secondary antagonist of The Last Kids on Earth franchise.
In the show, he is a minion of Rezzoch who plans on freeing him from the dimension by tricking Jack Sullivan to complete a Bestiary. He is also Jack's former friend, now archenemy.
In the books, he is the devoted warrior of Rezzoch and leader of The Skeleton Army. He is Jack's archenemy and killer of Bardle.
In the Netflix show, he was voiced by Keith David, who also played Chaos in Final Fantasy, Thailog in Gargoyles, Big Tim in Requiem for a Dream, Tublat in The Legend of Tarzan, Despero in Justice League, Atlas in Teen Titans, Thel 'Vadam in the Halo video game series, Julius Little and himself in the Saints Row video game series, Tombstone in The Spectacular Spider-Man, Dr. Facilier in The Princess and the Frog, Psycho Delic in the Megamind video games, Internet in Regular Show, President Andre Curtis in Rick and Morty, Lord Marmoo in Kulipari: An Army of Frogs, Malcolm Kane in Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters and King Andrias in Amphibia.
Appearance
Thrull is a huge and muscular creature with purple skin. He has long red beard. Thrull also has a large horn on his face and several small ones on the top of his head.
Personality
Thrull is a devoted follower of Rezzoch, arguably the most out of them all. He is manipulative and charismatic, being able to put on a facade to an entire colony of monsters, along with jack and his friends. He only reveals his true intentions to jack and quint after they find him preparing the tree to summon Rezzoch.
Biography
Past
Nothing is known about Thrull's past, except like (or supposedly) many of the other monsters at Joe's pizza, Thrull arrived first (stated in the 2nd book).
Sometime and someway, he discovered the young human survivors of Wakefield (Jack, June, Dirk, and Quint) and was seen at the end of the first book's ending, holding June's notice for her parents from the school.
Book 1
Thrull makes no appearance in the book, but in the netflix episode. he appears in the end, exclaiming "Humans!"
Book 2
Later on, he arrived at the mall collecting essence from feral monster creatures when the Wormungulous began (coincidentally) chasing the same group of survivors from Wakefield when he intervened at the last moment the kids attempt to open the gated doors to escape, taking the brunt of the blow as the Wormungulous crashed into him, destroying his leg in the process.
He reveals Rezzoch's existence to Jack and his friends and entrusts them with a Bestiary to complete with the essence of various monsters. Jack forges a bond of admiration with Thrull, until he is revealed to be an ally of Rezzoch. .After an unsuccessful attempt to summon Rezzoch, he merges with the tree portal. but is defeated by a firework bomb.
Book 3
Thrull is mentioned by Jack in the first episode, when trying to check on any new people Jack can trust.
Book 4
Thrull is unseen but is responsible for telling Evie how to summon the cosmic beyond and The Zombie general Ghazt.
Book 5
He regenerates under the stump of the Tree of Entry and is woken up by Evie Snark. He takes Ghazts tail, reattaches it to where his arm used to be and kills Bardle by destroying his energy. Jack then uses the newfound power his Louisville Slicer has and drains Thrull of his zombie controlling energy.
Book 6
Thrull uses his tail arm to manipulate skeletons and injects vines that reassembles tsem if they are destroyed. In an attempt to prevent Jack and th c njdenwhcgang from finding "Ultra slidcwnhoie" that would destroy the vines that keep skeletons together and stopping Thrull from creating the Tower which would bring Rezzoch, he revives Blarg as a d\s skeleton and turns him into Blargus. However, this fails as Dirk takes the ultra slime source (a small monster that generates endless ultra slime) and becomes its "dad".
Book 7
Thrull went to the Mallusk to kill Jack and Drooler. Ghazt tried to defeat him but Thrull almost killed him with the monorail.He was about to kill Jack, but the monsters on the Mallusk and Johnny Steve had Ultra-Slime guns pointed at him.He left and took the nearly dead Ghazt with him, needing information from his brain.
Book 8
Thrull appears in a Pufferfish ship at Wracksaw's Fortress. He comes for the Tower Schematics, and Wracksaw transfers the information from Ghazt's brain to Thrull's. Thrull departs after he has the Tower Schematics, off to finish the Tower.
