Richard Quinn is the main antagonist of Netflix's 2023 fantasy film Chupa. He is a doctor and hunter hired by the Mexican government to track down and capture the titular chupacabra so that its blood may be used for medicinal purposes.
He was played by Christian Slater, who also plays Mr. Robot and Edward Alderson in Mr. Robot, Ushari in The Lion Guard, Jason Dean in Heathers, Jimmy Dolan in Dolan's Cadillac, Deadshot in Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Special Agent Slater in Archer, Michael Griffin in Hollow Man 2, Composite Santa Claus in Robot Chicken and Robert Boyd in Very Bad Things.
Biography
Quinn is first seen in the film trying to hunt down a young chupacabra, before it is rescued by its mother. He chases down the adult chupacabra in an attempt to capture the young cub, but the adult, after being injured, manages to hide the cub away in some vegetation.
He is next seen at his camp, where he talks to an unseen person about the weight of the two chupacabras. He is soon interrupted by the arrival of a helicopter, and goes to meet his boss, who informs him that they need the chupacabra's blood in order to revolutionise medicine.
Trivia
- Despite trying to capture the titular chupacabra, he never once tries to hurt the creature, possibly he wanted it unharmed and damaged once he captured it and took it to where he planned to take and do with it.
