Lalah Sune is a powerful Newtype serving in the Principality of Zeon military and a supporting antagonist in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam.
She was voiced by Keiko Han.
History
Lalah Sune was originally a worker in an Indian brothel until she was found by Char and began traveling with him, developing an intense attraction to him. Discovering Lalah was a Newtype, Char handed Lalah over to the Zeon-sponsored Flanagan Institute where she received enhancements that dramatically raised the power of her Newtype abilities at the cost of her sanity.
Lalah later entered into the Zeon military to fight in the One Year War in order to protect Char. During this time, Lalah encountered the pilot of the RX-78-2 Gundam, Amuro Ray, who also became attracted to her with his Newtype powers.
Lalah eventually saw her first action in combat when she piloted the MAN-08 mobile armor in an attack on Solomon, which had been taken by the Federation. With her tremendous Newtype powers, Lalah wiped out scores of Federation soldiers.
Later, Lalah tragically died when she sacrificed herself defending Char from a fatal strike Amuro attempted to perform on him. Lalah's death left a profound impact on both Amuro and Char and only embittered their rivalry. Her Newtype spirit would occasionally appear to haunt both Char and Amuro.

- Lalah wears a bindi (the dot on her head Hindu women wear) as she sees herself married to Char Aznable.
- While Lalah is implied to be Hindu, her family is implied to Muslim (based on the attire her parents wear).
