Ilkubo is a major antagonist of the anime series Futari wa Pretty Cure. He is the leader and most powerful of the Dark Five and the Dark King's right-hand man. He is also the final general sent by Dark King to fight the Pretty Cure.
He was voiced by Issei Futamata in Japanese and Jonathan Love in English.
Appearance
Ilkubo is a tall, pale grey figure with pointed ears and slanted eyes. He doesn't have any visible hair on his face or head. He wears a black outfit beneath a long white robe.
When he returns, he transforms into a large, indigo, and black creature with slanted red eyes, and his robe is now ripped up and shredded.
In his final form, he transforms into a tall, muscular silver creature with a completely different face. His red eyes remain, and he gains a new mouth and facial markings that match those on the side of his chest.
Personality
As the right hand man of the Evil King, Ilkubo is strictly authoritarian and scolds his underlings for misbehaving, while reminding others of Dark King's trust. He also tries to please Dark King by being utterly loyal to him, but Dark King ultimately doesn't have any gratitute for it as he kills him eventually just because Dark King fears that Ilkubo may damage the stones.
History
Ilkubo is the leader of the Dark Five, and Dark King's most trusted minion. He first appeared in episode 4 to scold Kiriya and Gekidrago for making fun of Pisard, whilst still reminding Pisard that the Evil King was counting on him.
He later appeared in the Garden of Rainbows in episode 19, but did not start seriously fighting the girls until later. He was defeated, but made a brief comeback in which he battled the Pretty Cure and took them to the Dotsuku Zone in a far more monstrous and powerful form. However, Evil King killed Ilkubo to prevent him from damaging the Prism Hopish during his violent rampage.
