Galvanax

Galvanax is the original leader of Galaxy Warriors, the master of Ripcon and originally both Madame Odius and Cosmo Royale and the main antagonist of Power Rangers Ninja Steel and overarching antagonist of Super Ninja Steel. He is also the first archenemy of the Ninja Steel Power Rangers, primarily Brody Romero.

He was voiced by Richard Simpson who previously voiced Naja and Snapper in Power Rangers Jungle Fury, Matacore in Power Rangers Super Megaforce and later voiced Bulldozertron in Power Rangers Beast Morphers and Draknarok, Tidemare and Sugarhit in Power Rangers Dino Fury.

Biography

Past

Galvanax's origins are unknown but he at some point competed on the galactic TV show Galaxy Warriors. He became the undefeated champion and became the executive producer, owner and star of the series where he used it to boost his ego and fame. In 2008, Galvanax, Ripcon and Madame Odius went to Earth to steal the Ninja Nexus Prism but, as he was absorbing it, Dane Romero broke it into six pieces and created the Ninja Power Stars. Galvanax then kidnapped Brody and made him a prisoner on his ship.

Power Rangers Ninja Steel

Ten years later, Brody finally escapes back to Earth with a robot named Redbot and a guy named Mick Kanic and manages to get back the Nexus Prism and the Power Stars. Galvanax desired to claim the Ninja Power Stars for himself and constantly sends his monsters the Galaxy Warriors contestants to attack Earth and fight the Rangers. All of his servants regularly failed and the tyrant rarely was successful. At some point during one of their meetings, Galvanax falsely claimed that he spared Brody's life and gave him a home on his ship and he repaid him by stealing the Nexus Prism and Ninja Stars but Brody corrects him by saying the actual truth.

After constant failures to claim the Ninja Power Stars, Galvanax sometimes changed his strategy and hired more powerful monsters, while also trying to find the traitor who kept the enigmatic Gold Ranger on his ship. The traitor was in reality a Madame Odious, but the alien witch incriminated Ripcon in the treason against Galvanax and so the tyrant ordered to execute his former bodyguard as a punishment. Galvanax didn't even realize that the alien witch manipulated him in betraying Ripcon for herself to become his second-in-command and top general. At some point of the war with Rangers, Galvanax tricks Princess Viera and her bodyguard Lord Drillion into fighting the Rangers. However, while the princess eventually realized the truth and unites with the heroes, Drillion betrays his former mistress and joins Galvanax. Near the finale of the season after most of his contestants were dead and he was out of minions, the evil alien despot tries the deceptive maneuver by kidnapping Victor and Monty, the Rangers's classmates and forcing them to use their super magnet to magnetize the Rangers's power stars, which allowed Galvanax to claim them, except Brody's one. However, all of the Rangers were kidnapped by the tyrant, except Brody who managed to escape.

However, while Galvanax ordered Cosmo to publicly execute the captured Rangers on the Warrior Dome, Brody managed to free his friends and the team used their weapons to damage the ship, which allowed the multi-colored heroes to escape the Warrior Dome. Victor and Monty were also rescued by the Rangers. However, Galvanax was enraged by his failure and arrived to Earth to fight the Rangers personally this time. Brody was forced to destroy the Red Power Star but, instead of being destroyed, it goes into three different pieces. This magical paradox makes Mick an additional Red Ranger to the team. It also releases Dane's spirit and made him an additional Red Ranger to the team too. Together, the team destroy Galvanax once and for all and having his record of being not defeated tarnished. Before his defeat and destruction Galvanax was revealed to be betrayed by Odious after the witch reveals to the tyrant that ahe was the pne who held Levi on his ship and she incriminated Ripcon to manipulate the despot even further. Galvanax dies disgracefully, being a pawn in the plans of Odious, who usurps the title of the Galaxy Warriors leader and becomes the next archenemy of the Ninja Steel Rangers.

Legacy

Though deceased, the efforts taken to Galvanax's death leads to the Ninja Nexus Prism being completely de-powered and the Power Stars burning out.

With Galvanax dead, Madame Odius takes control of Galaxy Warriors and launches a new campaign against the Power Rangers but it leads to them being empowered by Ninja Super Steel, restoring their Ranger powers.

Galvanax is mentioned one final time by Madame Odius when she powered herself up with the Ninja Nexus Star and claimed to have surpassed him in strength.

Beast Morphers

A huge mistake. Since before you were born, every monster out there in every dimension from Rita Repulsa, and Sledge, to Galvanax. They've all wanted to take the Rangers' power and rule the universe. And now that you've wrapped it up with a ribbon, some evil mind will try to take it again and when they come, this place? Grid Battleforce? It won't be able to stop 'em.
~ Mayor Daniels about the dangers of Morph-X.

Due to being dead, Galvanax does not appear physically but is mentioned alongside Rita Repulsa and Sledge when Mayor Daniels expresses concern over the idea of using Morph-X as the new power source because there have been several villains that have attacked the Earth just for the Rangers' powers.

Dino Fury

Season 2

Galvanax was mentioned again in this season. When an unknown space ship arrives to Dinohenge, the Dino Fury Rangers ask about it and Javi says that as they are unlucky in this moment, it could be Lord Zedd with Galvanax and Venjix.

Personality

An arrogant, sociopathic, abusive, cruel, aggressive, and violent narcissist, Galvanax stopped at nothing to get what he wants. Though he was easily frustrated, he showed some level of patience as he waited ten years for the Ninja Power Stars to be removed. He seemed to value Madame Odius for her advice and ideas which was ironically the cause of his downfall. Galvanax did not tolerate failure and often abused his followers, especially Ripcon, spite of their dedication and commitment to him. He appeared to have no respect for Cosmo Royale despite him being his manager and the announcer since he had a tendency to push him around and talks down to him but he seems somewhat changed about him in his final battle against the Rangers. He seemed to have a hateful disdain for children to the point of even going as far as comparing them to infesting cockroaches that need to be exterminated.

Because of being the champion who is out of practice, Galvanax worried about the risk of losing his fans and fame if he were to get knocked down once thus would render him a loser in his mind, showing that he may have had an inferiority complex. Due to this, he sent out contestants than to do it himself all the while doing the scheming of his plans instead. He'd rather have a fair one on one duel instead of going against all of the Rangers. He also comes off as a dishonest, treacherous, cunning, manipulative, and deceptive individual when it came to having Brody in his captivity, claiming himself to have spared and then gave him a "home" on his ship before being "repaid" by having "his" Ninja Nexus Prism taken away from him, even going as far calling Brody a "traitor" and wanting a personal duel with him. However, he relied on brute strength and fighting skills more than he did intelligence and capability, making him easy prey for Madame Odius's deceitful nature.

Powers and Abilities

  • Power Absorption: Galvanax tried to absorb power from the Ninja Nexus Star but his attempt was foiled by Dane Romero.
