Andskotar Ásgarðar! Vita ván dýrs dauða!
~ Fiske to Kratos, translating to "Devil of Asgard! Expect to die like an animal!"

Fiske is a minor antagonist in God of War Ragnarök. He is one of Odin's captains and serves Asgard.

Biography

Fiske blocks Kratos' path as he and Freya try to free Freya from her curse. He engages in battle with Kratos, attempting to kill him, however, Kratos is the victor. Grabbing Fiske's scythe, Kratos rams the blade through Fiske's mouth and out the back of his head, before turning the blade to finish the job. Fiske does not survive.

Kratos writes this of him in his codex;

"What sort must a mortal be in life to be given such power and authority in Valhalla? To wield a scythe and defend territory with such vigor, I imagine this Fiske a farmer who took up arms against some threat, and proved adept at slaughter. And for his valor he is awarded an afterlife of more slaughter. I wonder whether he even has a choice..."

Trivia

  • Kratos suspects that Fiske could have been a farmer in his former life.
  • Fiske threatens to kill Kratos "like an animal", which is ironic, because Freya is currently an animal in her bird form.
