Djinni is a character who appears in the 1987 DuckTales episode "Master of the Djinni". He is the genie of the mythical lamp of Aladdin.
He was voiced by Howard Morris.
Biography
When Scrooge and Glomgold found and rubs the lamp of Aladdin simultaneously, the Djinni appears to grant the three wishes to his master, but the genie can't serve two masters at the same time so he decides to choose his master in a race where the finish is Duckburg Ice Cream Parlor. Then Scrooge decides to host the Djinni in the McDuck manor, having the service of his family. During the competition, the genie behaves in a somewhat abusive manner with Duckworth and Mrs. Beakley. Seeing the luxuries that Scrooge enjoys, he decides to send both participants back in time to maintain that life forever. However, the family realizes about his plan, so Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby manages to trick him to trap him in his lamp, only releasing him when he promises to take Scrooge and Glomgold back in the present. After realizing this, Glomgold takes a plane and goes back to Duckburg before Scrooge, winning the race. When Scrooge finally reaches the Ice Cream Parlor, Glomgold asks Djinni to send Scrooge to a desert island, which the genie does, but when Glomgold says that he wishes to see Scrooge's face in that moment, the Genie sends him too to the island. Then Glomgols says angrily that he wishes to never had found the lamp, so Djinn rewinds time to the moment before both finds the lamp, with the lamp falling to a place where no one saw it. Then, Djinn is currently trapped in the lamp until someone finds it.
