The Commeson is the main antagonist of the Copy-Vegeta Saga of the 2015-2018 anime Dragon Ball Super.
A purple sludge-like alien, it was often believed to be the Superhuman Water, a sacred treasure on Planet Potaufeu that Gryll has stolen from it's guardian, Potage. However, as he was about to drink it, he is consumed by the sludge, creating a purple duplicate of himself named Duplicate Gryll and eventually fading his original copy out of existence. It then later latches on to Vegeta, creating Duplicate Vegeta. It's core would later be destroyed by Monaka when he accidentaly stepped on it, greatly weakening Duplicate Vegeta as he is then obliterated by Goku with a God Kamehameha.
Personality
While it's personality isn't shown much throughout the saga, it is heavily implied to have a lust for power, seeking to make stronger duplicates out of warriors like Gryll and Vegeta. However, it hates when someone makes contact with it's core, as it is it's weak point.
Powers
In terms of power, the sludge is able to latch itself on a victim, sucking their power and replicating it into an exact duplicate of said victim. For example, after absorbing Vegeta, the duplicate it created was able to use all of his abilities, including his Super Saiyan Blue transformation. Once a duplicate is created from it, the victim would slowly start to fade away from existence, unless it is destroyed, as seen when Trunks accidentaly steps on the core while attempting to save Vegeta, causing it to crack and severely weaken, which resulted in Duplicate Vegeta's death in the process.

Copy-Vegeta Saga
The Commeson was first seen in a container, locked behind a door that is only unlocked via the pacifier that Potage has attached around his neck. However, the pacifier was thrown away when Potage accidentally bumped into Goten and Trunks. It is later found by Gryll, who then has Goten, Trunks and Potage captured while he unlocks the door containing the so-called Superhuman Water. Glad of finally being able to take over the universe, he opens the container, only to see a purple liquid inside of it, causing him to scream as it consumes his body and creates a duplicate of himself in the process.
When Vegeta confronts Duplicate Gryll, the Commeson, sneaking up behind him, absorbs his body, sucks his power and then creates a duplicate of him that replicates his powers as well. It is later seen again when it approaches Goten, Trunks and Potage while they were watching the fight between Duplicate Vegeta and Goku. Attempting to latch itself on Goten, Trunks and Jaco fire their Ki blasts at it, piercing through both sides of it's body. However, as it is a sludge, it immediately regenerates itself. It then chases after the trio, but fails to catch them as they fly away, sensing Vegeta's energy slowly decreasing.
It would then attempt to absorb Trunks while he was being distracted by Goku and Duplicate Vegeta powering up. As the sludge was about to absorb his son, Vegeta screams in despair, dropping the pacifier out of his mouth. This would cause him to begin fading away as he attempts to save Trunks, but to no avail as his body was no longer physical. Monaka backs up in shock and accidentaly steps on the Commeson's core, weakening it as it starts to crack and glow red. Due to this, Duplicate Vegeta screams in pain as he starts to deform. Goku takes this opportunity to ultimately destroy him with a God Kamehameha.
After Duplicate Vegeta's destruction, Potage trapped the Commeson back inside the container and seals it back to where it belongs, as it is still deemed as too dangerous even with the core destroyed.
Trivia
- It is one of the few antagonists in the Dragon Ball franchise to have the ability to absorb their victims, along with Cell and Majin Buu.
