Bitil is one of the major antagonists in the BIONICLE series, serving as one of the four secondary antagonists (alongside Vamprah, Chirox and Gorast) in the Karda Nui arc.
He is the Makuta of several islands in the western chain of the Southern Islands, the member of the Brotherhood of Makuta and the member of the Makuta Strike Force. He serves also as Onua's archenemy.

Second Death
After stealing the Mask of Ultimate Power from Metru Nui, Chirox and Bitil headed towards the island of Mata Nui, who was now in ruins following Mata Nui's reawakening with the Uniters hot in their pursuit. When they got there, they find the spot for reviving Teridax in Po-Koro as Bitil placed the Forbidden Mask onto Teridax's face while Chirox used the power to revive their leader. The revival was a success as Teridax was brought back to life in both his new armor and the mask. However, the Mask of Ultimate Power have also turned Teridax into a mindless beast as he killed Chirox with a bolt of energy. Bitil became terrified of his leader's betrayal and tried to escape from his rampage. However before he could do so to get out from the island, Bitil was pertrified by Teridax, who proceeded to devoured him by ripping his head off and eating it before eating the rest of his body as the Uniters watched the scene in disgust.
Personality
Bitil was known of being ambitious as he was one of the two Makuta who sided with Makuta Teridax in the first place and went to Karda Nui alongside his teammates just to prove his worth as the trusted member of the Brotherhood of Makuta. However, he was not devoted to the Plan as he was more concerned of his advancement in the Brotherhood.
Powers & Abilities
Bitil is one of the most powerful Makuta as his most signature weapon was the Kanohi Mohtrek, which allowed him to summon the past versions of himself. He was also armed with the pair of Longswords and the Nynrah Ghost Blaster.
Like all Makuta, Bitil have the ability to control the Shadow element as he can shoot out dark energy blasts from his mandibles. He also possesses the Kraata powers, though he lost
Aside of being the warrior, Bitil was also a skilful Brotherhood scientist who created the Rahi to populate the Matoran Universe. One of his creations was the Niazesk, the mechanical Rahi which he used it in the battle in Karda Nui as he used his own Antidermis to take control of the Niazesk.

Trivia
- Bitil's name was derived of the beetle due to his name and appearance.
- However despite his appearance, his armor's colour resembles the wasp's and bee's.
- He was the second Makuta to use his own Antidermis, the first was Makuta Teridax.
