He was portrayed by Luke Evans, who also played Driver in No One Lives, Owen Shaw in the Fast & Furious franchise, Gaston LeGume in the live-action Beauty and the Beast remake and the Coachman in the live-action Pinocchio remake, while his younger self was portrayed by Andrew Matthew Welch.
Biography
Years ago, Ben attended high school with Sue Ann Ellington. She was one of the targets of continuous bullying, most likely due to her being the only African-American student in attendance. One day, Ben and his girlfriend, Mercedes, decide to play a prank on her. Knowing that she harbored a crush on him, Ben pretends to reciprocate her feelings and convinces her into going to the janitor's closet, where she would give him a blowjob. Agreeing to his terms, Sue Ann goes to the janitor's closet, only to realize that she had given a blowjob to a completely random stranger. Ben and the other students then laugh at the utterly humiliated Sue Anne, driving her to the brink of insanity. As such, Ben was responsible indirectly for Sue Anne's actions in the movie.
Years later, Ben had remarried after losing his first wife to cancer, and he also owned a company that manufactured vans. Reuniting with Sue Anne when he went to take his pet to the vet, he suggests that they go out for dinner at a restaurant so to catch up. Arriving to the restaurant, Ben reveals that he had planted a tracking device in his son's van, becoming aware that she was inviting him to her house. To show that he was unrepentant for that prank he orchestrated years ago, he reminds Sue Ann that she would always be a loser before leaving.
After murdering Mercedes, Sue Ann takes the tracking device from Andy's van, and lures Ben to her home. Upon his arrival, she knocks him out with a sedative and strips him, tying him on her bed. She indicates that she would cut off his penis and grabs it. At the last minute, she reveals that she was bluffing and instead slits his wrist and places an IV filled with dog blood into it. The blood clots his veins, and he dies a slow, painful death. He treated Sue Ann like a dog, and now, he was treated as a dog.
Because of Ma's house getting burned in the film's ending, Ben's body was also immolated by the flames, alongside Sue Ann.
