Amane Luna (天音ルナ (あまねるな)) is a voicebank for the UTAU program.

Profile

Luna is a yokai of a tamed rabbit. A quiet person, Luna likes to sleep and likes quiet places, however she's poor in sports. She naps often and can be found singing when she sees the moon at night. Her affinity for the moon may have been inspired by the traditional Japanese myth of rabbits residing at the moon.

Etymology details

  • Name: Amane (天音) - Heavenly Sound or Sound of the universe/space. Luna (ルナ) - Romanized word of Moon in Latin.
  • Code: 0815 - The date of "Juugoya" (十五夜, Jpn.) or "Zhong qiu jie" (中秋節, Chi.) by the lunar calendar, the autumn harvest and full moon viewing festival.

  • Hair color: Wavy blond hair to her waist.
  • Headgear: Bunny ears attached to headphones. This comes from the Japanese fairy tale that rabbits live on the moon.
  • Eye color: Blue.
  • Earphones: Black headset with blue illumination.
  • Dress: An orange tank top over a green sleeveless turtleneck shirt, and a fuchsia mini skirt with yellow trimming. She also wears black shoes, wristbands, and black bike shorts underneath her skirt.

Relations

  • Mono Amane (天音モノ) - Luna's younger brother but not by blood, but because they have the same owner. Male derivative by pitch manipulation (g+20).
  • Yomiko Kouzuki (上月詠子) - Owner of Luna and Mono, who she lost at one point. She is not aware that they have human forms. Same voice provider as Luna Amane, her voicebank may be used as Luna's whisper voicebank.
  • Ice Kouzuki (上月アイス) - Fellow animal yokai adopted by Yomiko. She's constantly in human form. Derivative by pitch manipulation (g-20).
  • Aft (αυτο, アフト) - fellow animal yokai. Same voice provider as Luna Amane.

Luna's voice is much less airy and robotic than other UTAU, and therefore she has an easier time pronouncing, despite the fact that her voicebank contains Japanese phonemes only.

  • Mako Nagone is treated as her common singing partner and fellow member of Tenhou (天 (てん) 和 (ほう) ) unit and the Double Yakuman trio. Tenhou is taken from the "Ama" part of Luna's last name (天) and the "Nago" part of Mako's last name (和).[1]
  • Teto Kasane is a fellow member of the Kasa-Ama-Nago (重 (かさ) 天 (あま) 和 (なご) ) unit also known as Double Yakuman (だぶるやくまん).
    • Double Yakuman and Tenhou are references to mahjong terms.[2][3]
