Zurasuimar

Zurasuimar (ズラスイマー, Zurasuimā) or Zuraswimer^[1], is a kaiju that appeared in the TV series, Ultraman 80. He appeared in episode 42 of the series.

History

Ultraman 80

Zurasuimar is a subterranean monster who lives in Japan. He formerly lived inside a volcano, but after the 1855 Edo earthquake, he relocated his home to underneath a statue of Kannon in Ōya, a town in Tochigi Prefecture.

Many years later, two men, acting under the rumours of there being 2 billion yen stored under the Kannon statue after the earthquake decided to blow the statue up with dynamite to see if they can find the money. The statue toppled over, but instead of finding 2 billion yen, the men awoke Zurasuimar instead!

Once Zuriasimar awoke, UGM was informed. They tried to stop the monster with a giant flamethrower but that only made the monster stronger. They then tried to stop it with a waterthrower weakening the monster. Then Zuriasmiar got extremely mad and hit the UGM. Silver Gull with its Whip Arm. With UGM. in danger. Takeshi Yamato turned into Ultraman 80 and tried to stop the monster. Civillans told 80 to get the Kannon-sama back up but then Zurasuimar constricted 80 with its whip arm. 80 in trouble decided to shock the monster with electricity and finally got a hold of the Kannon-sama statue. 80 then sealed Zurasuimar back underground, returning him to his subterranean home.

Trivia

• Zurasuimar's roar is a reused Gango's roar and when it is hurt it emits an Ebirah's screech.

Powers and Weapons

• Whip Arm: Zurasuimar’s left arm is a long, spiked whip that can be used to constrict enemies.
• Heat Resistance: As a result of him living underground inside a volcano for several years, Zurasuimar is immune to extreme heat, and can use it to increase his strength.
